1935 Fire Truck: The Restoration Process |
![]() |
First, as many of the component parts as possible
were removed to prepare the fire truck for powdercoating. | ||
Next it was sandblasted to remove the old paint
and corrosion, providing a clean surface for priming
and powdercoating.
|
||
All of the various parts were then primed with a zinc
containing powdercoat to create a strong anti-corrosion
barrier.
|
||
Here we see the powder being applied to the body
of the truck.

These are some of the
parts after receiving their
final powdercoat finish.
